Design Ideas: New Year's Eve Party!

Today, instead of my usual interior design find, I thought I'd share some cute New Year's Eve party ideas! Whether you'll be a guest or the host, it's always fun to get in the holiday mood! (Can you tell I'm excited for the New Year?) These DIY New Year's Eve party ideas are quick, easy, and adorable. You might even be able to get one or two of them in before the big party! A little glitter spray paint fixes everything.

What I Wore: The Galaxy Never Dies Edition

I can't give it up, you guys. No matter how hard I try, I just can't do it. The galaxy trend can never die! I will take it to the grave with me! Am I obsessed with galaxy print? Yes, obviously. But can you blame me, really? Space is just cool. Period.

Anyway, I got this party dress on Modcloth recently and I haven't worn it much because part of me thinks it's too young looking for me and another part just thinks it's too much. Now that the holiday season is creeping up on us, my goal is to turn it into a perfect party dress.

What I Wore Wednesday: The Sexy Summer Nights Edition

I love summer! Well, I mean who doesn't right? Although it can be challenging to find outfits to wear out at night that don't scream slut and still keep you nice and cool. I love this maxi skirt I found at the sale Urban Outfitters by me. That super high slit up the side makes it nice and breezy and ultra sexy. Super important for summer nights out, no? Anyway, I was happy with how this outfit turned out even though what I was trying to highlight were my super sweet floral platform sandals that I have been waiting to wear out until it got warm enough. Well, it's warm enough and I think me and these floral sandals are going to be best friends all summer. Actually, this maxi skirt may pop up in a few more posts as well since I have discovered it is one of the most comfortable things ever.

What I Wore Wednesday: New Year's Eve Edition

So this isn't exactly the outfit I want to wear on New Year's Eve. Today's outfit post is my back up plan. I ordered a dress to wear online, but, due to a mistaken shipment, I'm still waiting on it. I figured in the case that it doesn't fit or looks really bad on, I needed a back up. So what's more festive that sequin gold shorts?

I saw them. I loved them. I needed them. The sequin gold shorts were an impulse buy and I regret nothing! Even though I have yet to wear them out. I guess that just means I need to go out dancing more ;).

This clutch was a Christmas gift from the roommate (read: boyfriend). It's actually a laptop case, but I'm going to use it as both because I think it looks cool as a clutch.
