Nothing makes me less happy like an amazing vintage dress that almost fits. I mean, come on fashion gods! Do me a solid? This vintage 60s shift dress is the most adorable thing I've come across in a while and my boobs are just not cooperating. Frustration!
Anyway, it will make someone else very, very happy and they can
pick it up in my Etsy shop. So lucky you! Whoever you are mysterious future person.
When putting this together I was so focused on getting into the damn cute thing that I didn't even think about accessories for it, which is definitely odd for me. But I knew I had the perfect shoes to go with it. I picked these green wedges up in the sale section of Ruche when
I picked up those polka dot pants from the last outfit photo,
sooooo unfortunately, you can't have them. BUT I do encourage you to
check out their shoe selection. Too much cute, all the time! And I'm getting paid $0 to say that so you know I mean it.
But really though, these shoes match the stem of the flower perfectly. DAMN YOU FASHION GODS!
So I am obsessed with all things vintage or from any era between the 1900 - 1970s and I knew I instantly needed this dress because it is a perfect example of a Twiggy shift dress from the 60s! How mod and retro is this shape? #amirite It's a light and breezy retro shift dress perfect for summer! It would make Twiggy proud.
Have you ever found something at a resale shop that was amazing but just didn't fit?
Gurl, all the time. Sometimes I buy it and gift it, sometimes I try to make it work, but most of the time I tear up a little and leave it there.
ReplyDeleteHaha tell me about it. I used to just buy it regardless, and that's how the Etsy store got started. My stash of vintage clothes that "almost" fit was getting too big.
DeleteHello, You look absolutely beautiful!! You could try opening the sides and shoulders and adding white lace. Lace peeking out from under the dress would also look fabulous on you!

Thank you so much! That's a great idea, unfortunately, the dress has moved on to a new home.
