What I Wore: The Lady in Red Edition

Let me tell you, there is nothing better for the confidence than a little rouge. I am dead serious about this. Feeling blah and don't want to put any effort into your outfit today? Throw on jeans, a sweater, and some red lipstick and you'll see. It really is that easy. I know the color on this 40s style vintage dress is one of the reasons it's totally an instant confidence booster!
Not only is this 40s inspired vintage dress the most gorgeous red I've ever seen, but it's also a very silky polyester so it just feels rich and luxurious. It's 3/4 sleeve and has one snap that holds the front together. If you wanted to, you could wear a pretty little tank top underneath and let the top stay parted. I wish I had gotten a shot of it open, but I was not wearing a tank top and I don't think we know each other like that just yet ;)

Oh, did I mention you can pick up this dress in the Etsy shop?

 Outfit Details:
Vintage Red Dress - Stranger Than Vintage Etsy Shop
Fur Vest - Urban Outfitters last year (similar vest)
Belt - I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it (similar belt
Grey tights
Grey shoes

This vintage dress is totally perfect for the holidays too. You'll be a bombshell at any holiday party wearing anything silky and red. Seriously, I don't know what it is about the red, but as soon as I put it on it's like a whole new me. I mean forever ago, red was the mark of all things sexual, so I guess it kind of makes sense right.

And a big thank you to my photographer who was dying for cigarettes but took these pictures first.

What's your go-to confidence boosting color?
