What I Wore: The Let It Snow Edition

It's snowing! Okay, not right this second, but it's been snowing in Chicago for the past couple of days. I keep going back and forth on whether this is a reason to be happy or sad. Two days ago, when I almost slammed into the back of a car trying to break while going 15 miles per hour, it made me sad. Today, it ain't so bad.
Anyway, on to the more important stuff - my confession. I made it one whole month without buying anything new. One. Whole. Month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a long time. In the world of Maggie, this is a win! If I can go another whole month without buying new clothes, I'll be a happy lady. But I am a firm believer that a little retail therapy is good for the soul...most times. As far as my wallet is concerned, I only allowed my eyes to a Forever 21 - the broke fashionista's best friend.

Seriously though, I know that Forever 21 is not fantastic quality, but it really is the place to go if you want to try a new trend that you're not sure will work for you. Want to try the rocker look with a pleather vest? Well, I'd rather spend $30 than $80 just to find out it actually doesn't work well with my style. Just sayin.
Cat eye glasses blouse - Forever 21
Teal pencil skirt - The Limited (similar skirt)
Red cardigan - Target (similar cardigan)
Black booties - Forever 21 (also worn last week - I obviously love these shoes.)

Okay, but really, how cute is this blouse? How could I have said no? It's got cat eye glasses printed on it and a little pleather peter pan collar. <3. It makes me very happy. The cut is very retro with the bubbled sleeves and keyhole in the collar, but the pleather in the peter pan collar makes it updated.

Also, as I mentioned in my last post, I finally went and got my hair fixed! It looks SO much better than it did bright yellow. BUT, I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Being blonde isn't for everyone and maybe it's not for me. I suppose I'll try it out for a little bit and see how I feel. Maybe it'll grow on me.

What do you say? Snow: Yay or Nay?
