Photo Friday: Vinyl Album Covers and The Streets

What a week! Sometimes being on vacation is more exhausting than a regular workweek. Although I have very much enjoyed hanging around the city and playing tourist. Soon it's back to the grind. In the meantime, I found this awesome photo editorial mixing famous album covers with a photo of the same location now. It took my eyes some adjustment time for some of them, but they are a fun photography project nonetheless.

Simon & Garfunkel: Wednesday Morning, 3AM

Bob Egan, the creator of these photomontages, considers himself something of a popculture / rock and roll detective, making it easy to understand how someone could hunt down all these specific locations from famous album covers. Especially if you're an avid music fan, you have to appreciate the commitment it took to create these photographic homages to music. Being a bit of a Bob Dylan fan myself, I have to say I love that he Egan was able to pick out so many Dylan covers. There are of course many, many more on his website.

 Bob Dylan: The Freewheelin'

West Side Story: Original Broadway Cast Album

 Bob Dylan: Highway 61 Revisited

Neil Young: After the Gold Rush

 Steely Dan: Pretzel Logic

Bob Dylan: Subterranean Homesick Blues

What album cover would you like to see turned into one of these photomontages?
