What I Wore: The Call Me Maybe Edition

Don't lie, you've heard it. We've all heard it. For a while you couldn't escape Carly Rea Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" and even though it's died down here on the radio stations in Chicago, it's meme-ing with a ferociousness on the internet. And I have to admit, it was catchy enough to get tangled up in my head sometimes. So one day I decided to watch the video and I realized something, she was wearing the same sheer maxi cardigan that I bought a while back on sale at Urban Outfitters! Weird right?

I hadn't even gotten a chance to wear the cardigan before I saw the video because I bought it in the winter and now I'm not sure I want to wear it out in the streets. Although, the chance of people recognizing that it's the same one from the video are slim I'm sure. This maxi cardigan is now long out of stock, but here's an outfit with it anyway just because it's hot out and this was the perfect cover-up.

So I'm very much an accessories kind of girl. I think that no outfit is complete without the right combination of jewelry, which is kind of what I was trying to do here. This outfit is just a black cotton jumper and some beaded sandals. How borring! I needed to add some color and other elements because I've never been good at wearing just black. So I threw some chunky jewelry accents and this light maxi cardigan over my plain black romper. I have to say it was one of the most comfortable outfits I've worn in a while which is great considering it's been almost 100 degrees here all week.
